Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF below), Asia's leading international film festival, has promoted the implementation of information technology as a truly "city-scaled" film festival. Tokyo Internet Movie Festival (TNF below) launched in 2004 as a strategic project underpinning TIFF's Internet Competition category, and now plays critical roles as a project that cultivates future talent for the Tokyo Sakura Grand Prix, as well as a gateway to success for the next generation of visual creators.

Entrants can submit their work online
Entrants can submit their work online using upload function of the ClipLife, video sharing service offered by NTT. After carefully reading the TNF entry regulations, entrants can submit their works by following the procedures on the entry page. uClipLifev The site makes it possible to share original videos shot and produced by individual users. Through collaborating with ClipLife, TNF2007 utilizes video uploading and posting to make a start as a new internet film festival.
Videos that make it through the first round of selection can be posted to blogs
Works that make it through the first round of selection in the TNF general category are featured on the TNF website and ClipLife, and can be posted to blogs. This gives more people the chance to view the works, and makes it possible for entrants to promote their works online.
Finalists decided by user votes and jury selection
Fifteen works move on to the finals -selected by Internet user votes and TNF.
Awards that youfll only find at an Internet film festival
In addition to the Net Movie Grand Prix bestowed by the jury, the former Net Audience Award decided by online users has been upgraded to the Net Audience Grand Prix, and has been reconfigured as an attractive prize suitable for an Internet film festival. Individualistic awards like the Screening Audience Award, decided by votes at the TIFF screenings (end of October), are also being continued.

The finalists : The 15 works will be selected by Internet user votes and TNF.

About the Scholarship Program
The TNF2008 finalists are also in competition for funds to support production of a new work, which will be presented as a special program at TNF2009. TNF will award up to 1 million yen in production support to the most outstanding proposal, as well as publicity support and opportunities for special screenings. TIFF will also feature information about the work in its official program and support outreach to the film industry.
